The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway remained blocked as of 7 a.m. on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, amid an ongoing traffic gridlock along the busy highway.

A check by Vanguard on the social media platform X showed that the road was still impassable as of the time of filing this report.

Motorists and commuters using the expressway were advised to exercise caution and consider alternative routes where possible.
