LaLiga: Mourinho suffers first defeat as Real Betis stun Madrid

Daily Post 28 minutes 1 mins read

Jose Mourinho has suffered his first defeat following his Real Madrid return, after they lost 1-0 at Real Betis in LaLiga on Friday.

Los Blancos came into the game with a perfect record, having won their opening three fixtures.

However, they struggled to break down their hosts for most of the game.

Betis then took the lead through Troy Parrott in the 81st minute.

Mourinho’s men had the chance to leave with a point after they were awarded a late penalty for a foul on Vinicius Junior.

But Kylian Mbappe saw his effort palmed away by Álvaro Valles.

The result means Madrid have not won at Betis since 2021.
