Malawi Clip Super Falcons’s Wings In Nigeria’s 2026 WAFCON Open

Malawi made history on Tuesday, defying the bookies to stun defending champions Nigeria 1-3 in a Group C match at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The win, which will go down in history, is Malawi’s first-ever in the competition. The Scorchers are debutants in the competition and were expected to have it difficult against the defending champions.

But at the blast of the final whistle, it was Malawi who wrote history, defeating Nigeria 3-1 in Rabat.
