One Jerreh Ceesay from Brufut was on Tuesday arraigned at the Brusubi magistrates’ court for obtaining over one million dalasi from one Omar Bah, under false pretense.
Ceesay appeared before Magistrate M S Jallow on allegations that he defrauded Bah the sum of USD20,000.00, equivalent to D1,510,000.00., on the pretext that he was going to supply him ten female cattle of a special breed from France, a representation he knew to be false.
Ceesay, who was unrepresented, denied any wrongdoing and was granted bail in the sum of D2million, after Police Deputy Superintendent Buteh Sawaneh, representing by the IGP, did not object to a bail application.
The trial continues.
