Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, has hit out at Lisandro Martinez after he criticised the Manchester United board following the Red Devils’ Champions League 2-0 defeat to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.
Martinez had blamed Man United’s board over their lack of investment in the squad during the summer.
The Argentina international said he had expected more from “upstairs”, in a direct swipe at technical director, Jason Wilcox.
Reacting, Henry was not pleased with Martinez’s comments, insisting that the defender should have said it in the person’s face.
“I’m not a coach anymore, but I always say, whoever speaks like that, out. Keep that in the dressing room, it’s as simple as that,” Henry said on CBS Sports.
“That is the only way it can work. You have to say those things to a person’s face… going through the press, I am not really a fan of that.”
