Messi vs Madonna: He’s better – Gernot Rohr picks between Argentina legends

Daily Post about 2 hours 1 mins read

Benin Republic head coach, Gernot Rohr, has picked between Argentine legends, Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona.

Speaking to Soccernet after his team’s 3-0 defeat to Argentina in an international friendly on Wednesday morning, Rohr insisted that Messi is a better player than Maradona.

The former Super Eagles tactician said, “I played personally against Maradona, sometimes with Bordeaux, and Maradona was already a fantastic player. Messi is perhaps even better.

“When we trained the day before the match at the Boca Juniors stadium, we saw the statue of Maradona. Messi and Maradona are really among the greatest players we have ever had in our football.

“Messi is different because his life is a success too, and his family is wonderful.”
