A military air strike has reportedly neutralised 16 suspected terrorists in Pulka, Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, following intelligence on their movements.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, the operation was carried out at about 12:09 a.m. on October 24, following intelligence from the 26 Task Force Brigade on suspected terrorist activity captured on CCTV.
Makama said surveillance tracked about 40 suspected terrorists moving through the area before they stopped in separate groups near a water body.
“The suspected terrorists were reportedly trailed until they made a temporary halt in separate groups near a water body,” the report stated.
The military reportedly targeted a group of about 20 suspects, while a post-strike assessment indicated that 16 had been neutralised.
