The Minister for the Presidency and Memberof Parliament for Budiope West Constituency, Hon. Babirye Milly Babalanda, has extended warm congratulations to His Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, the Kabaka of Buganda Kingdom, on his 33rd Coronation Anniversary celebrated yesterday, 31st July 2026.
In her message posted on official X account, Hon. Babalanda said that for the past 33 years, His Majesty has provided exemplary cultural leadership, wisdom, and stability to the people of Buganda and to Uganda at large.
“His reign has been marked by a strong commitment to unity, heritage preservation, education, health, and economic empowerment,” the Minister stated.
Minister Babalanda noted that the partnership between the Central Government and Buganda Kingdom under the Kabaka’s leadership continues to be vital in promoting national development, peace, and social cohesion.
“His advocacy for the welfare of the people and his role as a unifying father to all is deeply appreciated. The Kabaka’s leadership continues to inspire millions across Uganda and beyond,” she added.
The Minister further prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the Kabaka.
“As we celebrate this milestone, we pray for God’s continued blessings of good health, long life, and strength upon you as you continue to serve the people of Buganda and Uganda,” she said.
She concluded her message with the traditional Buganda’s salutation:
“Wangaala ayi Ssaabasajja Kabaka! Long Live the King. For God and my country!”
The 33rd Coronation Anniversary is being celebrated across Buganda with prayers, cultural events, and community service activities under the theme of unity and service to the people.
