The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has raised concerns that misinformation, disinformation, hate speech and deepfakes threaten Ghana 39;s democratic stability and social cohesion. Ms Kathleen Addy, Chairperson of the NCCE, said the rapid evolution of digital communication had expanded opportunities for civic participation but made it increasingly difficult for citizens to distinguish facts from falsehoods.
