More farmers in Bono East switch to vegetable production to growing demand

Many farmers in the Bono East Region have switched from maize and yam, cultivating vegetables in commercial quantities to meet the growing market demand for vegetables in the region. According to Mr Patrick Acheampong, the 2025 Bono East Regional Best Farmer, most of the farmers in the region were cultivating pepper, tomatoes, and garden eggs in commercial quantities.
