Harbour Point in Victoria Island, Lagos, was transformed into an experiential venue recently as Mobile Screens and Sounds Limited (MSS) celebrated its 20th anniversary with an immersive showcase of its work and evolution.

Tagged “The Art of Experience,” the celebration began at an entrance designed as an immersive maze, with each turn revealing a different chapter in the company’s history. From its early days providing LED screens, a relatively unfamiliar technology at the time, to its expansion into sound, lighting, staging and power infrastructure for events, the displays offered guests a glimpse into the company’s growth. Ushers stationed at each turn provided details about its services.

As the celebration gathered momentum, the hall filled with friends, family and associates who had been part of the journey of its founder, Tunbosun Kola-Daisi. From a career in banking to building one of Nigeria’s sought-after event technology companies, Kola-Daisi’s journey is a bold example of when one refuses to give up on his dreams.

His flair for entertainment is ingrained, right from his secondary school days. It was not until the bank merger in the Sanusi era that he left the banking halls to pursue his entertainment dream. After opening up entertainment outfits, he later went into event production, starting with LED Screens. Today, the business offers sound reinforcement for major venues, deploying screens across multiple events, providing power infrastructure to support operations, installing advertising displays nationwide and transforming physical spaces into immersive experience centres.

The company also provides end-to-end production management for events of varying scales.

Reflecting on the journey, Kola-Daisi said: “Twenty years ago, we entered an industry where the solutions we offered were largely unfamiliar and where belief in the future of event technology was limited. Today, as we celebrate this milestone, we are proud not only of what we have built, but of the role MSS has played in shaping an industry, creating opportunities and setting new standards for excellence.”

He said the company’s next chapter would focus on deeper innovation, strategic expansion across Africa and “investing in the people who will drive the future of this industry.”

Guests wined and dined as comedian Kenny Blaq, who co-hosted the event with Sola ‘Schullz’ Mogaji, entertained with jokes, while the Veentage Band provided the evening’s musical accompaniment.A major highlight was the unveiling of the company’s new logo and refreshed brand identity, accompanied by a drone display that illuminated the Lagos skyline. The rebrand reflects MSS’s growth from a screen-focused business into a broader event technology provider spanning sound, lighting, screens, production services and immersive audience experiences.
