MTN introduces myMTN NG App Rewards, giving customers more reasons to buy, play and win

Daily Post 1 day 3 mins read

MTN Nigeria has unveiled myMTN NG App Rewards, a new customer rewards campaign designed to reward customers for their airtime purchases, data buys and account activity they already carry out on the myMTN NG App. The campaign runs in partnership with CashToken Rewards Africa.

Customers who transact or stay active on the app earn guaranteed instant cash on qualifying activity and enter CashToken’s weekly national consumer draws, where prizes run from ₦5,000 to ₦100 million. Weekly rewards also include up to ₦10,000 in MoMo Cash, shopping vouchers and brand-new smartphones.

Chief Growth Officer at CashToken Rewards Africa, Stella Oshorinde, said: “Millions of MTN customers already buy airtime, activate bundles and manage their lines on the myMTN NG App. With myMTN NG App Rewards, we are giving them something back for activity they carry out anyway. A customer who buys data on a Tuesday can receive a reward alert the same day, and that same purchase counts towards the weekly draw.”

How Customers Can Win

Download the myMTN NG App from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, or text “myMTN” to 5018 then:

1. Stay active three days a week: Customers who buy airtime, buy data or otherwise use the app on at least three days in a week qualify to win up to ₦10,000 MoMo Cash, plus additional CashToken Rewards.

2. Play the Thursday trivia: The app runs a trivia game every Thursday. Customers who play qualify to win shopping vouchers.

3. Spend ₦10,000 in a week: Customers who spend at least ₦10,000 on the app within a week qualify to win a brand-new smartphone and earn further CashToken Rewards.

All three activities also count towards the weekly draw. Every qualifying transaction on the app earns guaranteed instant cashback and an automatic entry into CashToken’s weekly national consumer draw, where customers stand to win between ₦5,000 and ₦100 million. Winners cash out their rewards by dialling *6700*8#.

The campaign gives customers a reason to move airtime purchases, bundle activation, data sharing and line management onto the app rather than USSD or recharge cards.

Group Chief Marketing Officer at CashToken Rewards Africa, Chinaenyenwa Nwokedi, said: “Our model rewards people for purchases they were always going to make, with no extra spend and no long points cycle to wait out. Bringing it to the myMTN NG App puts it in front of one of the largest digital customer bases in the country. Customers get guaranteed cash on qualifying activity and a weekly entry into draws that run as high as ₦100 million.”

Customers can begin participating by downloading the myMTN NG App free from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, or by texting “myMTN” to 5018, then buying airtime or data, playing the Thursday trivia and staying active on the app.
