InformationNG about 2 hours 2 mins read

Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu became emotional while recalling how he coined the term “musicomedy” and how some of his friends allegedly deserted him following his brain surgery and health crisis.

Speaking on the Beer Parlour Talk Show episode titled “Julius Agwu — Back From The Brink,” Agwu reflected on his contribution to Nigerian comedy before breaking down in tears.

“Of that alleged comedy, na me stay, I stayed and form that coinage,” he said. “That music-com, yes na me form am to tell you how my brain dey think na him make everything.”

As he became overwhelmed, Agwu removed his glasses and repeatedly apologized before thanking those who had supported him through what happened.

He later opened up about feeling abandoned by people he considered friends, saying some stopped communicating with him after his health crisis.

“My friends deserted me,” Agwu said. “This bishop wey they talk now, he was managing me. Collect my money, do everything, then they stop talking to me, many of them, but God no go leave you.”

The comedian was consoled by the hosts, who reminded him of the impact he had made in the entertainment industry and assured him that his legacy would remain even if he never performed again.
