The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Air Force, Rep. Kabiru Usman Alhassan, has expressed concern over the reported crash involving a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft in Ondo State.

Alhassan, in a message of solidarity and concern, said the aircraft was reportedly carrying 32 passengers, noting that the status of those on board had yet to be confirmed as rescue operations continued.

He expressed solidarity with the passengers, crew members and their families, while praying for their safety and successful rescue.

“I am deeply saddened and concerned by the unfortunate crash involving a Nigerian Air Force ATR-42 aircraft in Ondo State,” he said.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the passengers, crew members, their families and loved ones at this difficult moment.”

The lawmaker commended the Nigerian Air Force, security agencies, emergency responders and others involved in the rescue operation for what he described as their prompt response.
He urged Nigerians to remain calm and hopeful as the rescue operation continued.

“At this anxious time, I urge everyone to remain calm, prayerful and hopeful, while the rescue efforts continue,” Alhassan said.

He also expressed hope that those on board would be found safe.
