Nigeria at 66: We’ve survived our challenges – Shehu Sani

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has said Nigeria has survived the various challenges and crises it has faced since gaining independence.

Sani stated this in a post on X on Thursday while marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary.

According to him, although the country may not have met the expectations of those who believed in it, Nigeria has continued to defy pessimistic predictions about its future.

“No nation exists without challenges. Some nations couldn’t survive their challenges. Ours has survived the phases of its storms and turbulence. A nation with a history of overcoming its obstacles and prevailing against all odds.

“Our country may not have met the expectations of those who wished her well or believed in her, but it also continuously disappoints the pessimistic predictions of the prophets of doom.

“Nigeria, a resilient nation with nine lives.

“Happy 66th Independence Anniversary,” he said.
