A yet to be identified officer of the Nigeria Police Force has been caught on camera making derogatory remarks against the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
In a video clip currently making the rounds on social media, the officer could be heard saying that the former governor of Anambra State cannot become Nigeria’s President because of his Igbo identity.
The officer further made comments about Obi’s age and suggested that even if he won an election, he would not be able to serve a full term.
According to the officer, the 2027 presidential race is between President Bola Tinubu and the candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Atiku Abubakar. He suggested that Obi should be kicked out of the race.
The police officer said, “Igbo can never become Nigerian President. No way. The person will turn Abuja into the Yahoo office, they will use you for ritual.
“Even if he (Peter Obi) wins, oga (Tinubu) will use money to deal with him, he won’t enter the seat. He will waste his money and strength. All the votes he will get from Igbo land will become useless.
“Who is Obi? A small child. The election is Atiku versus Tinubu. Kick Obi out of the race.
“Who will give Igbo man a chance to become President of this country? No Igbo man or woman can become President of this nation.”
