The Nigeria National League, NNL, has released a list of mandatory requirements for clubs participating in the 2026/2027 season.
The conditions were listed in a memo signed by the Chief Operating Officer of the NNL, Danlami Alanana.
According to the memo, all clubs must comply with the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, licensing regulations.
Part of the conditions states that clubs must provide proof of non-indebtedness to players and coaches in respect of sign-on fees, salaries and allowances.
Any club with outstanding financial obligations will not be permitted to register until it presents clearance from the NFF Arbitration Committee.
Clubs are also required to submit duly signed copies of players’ and officials’ contracts and must settle all outstanding fines, cautions or registration fees owed to the league from previous seasons.
Other requirements include a mandatory N20 million guarantee to demonstrate commitment to completing the season.
The 2026/27 NNL season is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, October 31.
