Sporting Lagos technical adviser, Jeffery Buter says his team has put behind their last win over Inter Lagos as they gear up for the next game against Abia Warriors.
The modest club will trade tackles with Abia Warriors at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan on Sunday.
Buter said their last win will help build the momentum ahead of the matchday four encounter against Abia Warriors.
He also expressed the players’ readiness for the game.
“We have had a week of rest and training, the boys look ready as we have put the success of our last game behind us,” Buter said in a pre-match interview.
“We look forward to Sunday as we have had a good week of preparation.
“The win over Inter Lagos was important as we don’t want to go two game without a win, it will also help us build the momentum ahead of Abia Warriors clash and beyond.”
Buter encouraged supporters to turn out en masse to back the team in their first home game of the season.
“The players enjoy when the fans are at the stadium it’s gives them more confident and extra motivation to get the result for them as well,” Buter added.
“It will be nice our first home game back in the NPFL, I’m expecting a packed stadium and hopefully we can give the another good performance on Sunday.“
