Kwara United have called for fans’ support ahead of their opening fixture of the 2026-27 Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, season.
The Harmony Boys will square up against Kano Pillars at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium in Ilorin on Sunday, 30 August.
Kwara United appealed to fans to avoid violence, heated arguments, confrontation and any form of misconduct that could result in unpleasant incidents or sanctions against the club.
“We appeal to our supporters to come out in their large numbers, watch the games and be the 13th player on the pitch. Your support is vital to the progress of the team,” Kwara United stated.
“However, we urge everyone to remain peaceful and supportive, even when the game is not going the way we expect.
“We must avoid actions that could lead to ugly incidents, sanctions or stadium bans, which could deprive the team of the valuable support of our fans.
“Our collective focus should be on supporting the players, encouraging them and helping the team achieve its ambition of having a successful season and competing strongly for the league title.”
