Liberia has handed an invitation to Niger Tornadoes goalkeeper Derrick Daddy Julu for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Cape Verde.

It's the first time Julu has been invited to the Liberia national team.

The shot stopper has kept three clean sheets in four appearances for Niger Tornadoes this month.

The Lone Star will travel to Praia for an AFCON 2027 matchday three encounter on Friday 13 November 2026.

They will host Cape Verde four days later in Monrovia in a matchday four fixture.

Liberia are winless in the qualifiers after losing their opening two games to Rwanda and Mali.

The West Africans started their campaign with a 3-1 away defeat to the Amavubi of Rwanda, before going down 1-0 at home to the Eagles of Mali.
