NPFL: Ogunbote urges humility after Plateau United’s 4-0 win over Kano Pillars

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Plateau United technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote, has played down his team’s big win over Kano Pillars, DAILY POST reports.

The Peace Boys thrashed Daniel Ogunmodede’s side 4-0 at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.

The defeat was Kano Pillars’ first in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.

Paul Samson, Ekundayo Ojo, Samuel Ayanrinde and Nenrot Silas scored for the hosts in the game.

Ogunbote warned that his players must remain humble despite the outcome of the game.

“The league is a marathon, we won’t allow it to get into our heads . This is just one out of the 38 matches we are going to play this season,” Ogunbote told reporters after the game.

“But it is a good one for us, but I can assure that the supporters too will be happy at the end of the season.”

Plateau United will host Sporting Lagos in their next game.
