Plateau United technical adviser Gbenga Ogunbote has said it is important for his team to improve on their goal scoring ability.
The Peace Boys defeated Inter Lagos 2-0 in a matchday six encounter at the New Jos Stadium on Sunday.
Gideon Monday and Jibrin Ibrahim got the goals for Plateau United in the second half.
Plateau United wasted a number of clear cut chances in the first half, missing the opportunity to make the scoreline more emphatic.
Ogunbote said it is important for his team to start converting their chances.
“I think it is worrisome no doubt. Every coach wants to win from the first minute of the game but sometimes anxiety and other things will cost a team,” Ogunbote told the club’s media.
“In the first half, I think we were wasteful. It has been a problem not only with Plateau United. It’s something that affects other clubs too.”
Plateau United are unbeaten in their last five league matches.
The Jos club currently occupy second position on the table with 11 points from six matches.
