Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, has expressed satisfaction with his team’s 1-1 draw against Nasarawa United.
The Port Harcourt-based side took the win through an own goal from Harrison Ebah in the 68th minute, before Musa Yakubu equalised for Nasarawa United six minutes from time.
Finidi admitted that the encounter was difficult despite his team picking a point.
“Every game is difficult even when playing at home in this season, we have to find our way it to get the much needed point,” Finidi told Rivers United’s media.
“I think my boys did well. Towards the end of the game they defended a little deep which resulted in an incident which we conceded from.
“My only concern was the penalty was questionable but the referee said he saw it, we have to move on and think about the next match.
“We are happy with the point recorded in the game.”
Rivers United have garnered seven points from three games this season.
