NPFL: Sporting Lagos deserved more than draw with Ikorodu City – Buter

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Sporting Lagos technical adviser, Jeffery Buter, believed that his team deserved more from the 0-0 with Ikorodu City.

The modest club shared the points in the derby with Ikorodu City at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, on Wednesday.

Buter noted that Ikorodu City defender aggressively in the game.

He stressed that his team would have won the game under neutral circumstances.

“In the first phase they (Ikorodu City) were aggressive as they committed numbers forward, and they exploited it, seen how they played against Rangers in their last game,” Buter said after the game.

“Today we played long balls, unusual, as we tried to exploit the spaces but kudos to them, they were rugged.

“In the overall assessment we were still the better team and we should have won if the circumstances were neutral.”
