NSITF warns Nigerians against fake recruitment advertisements

Daily Post about 3 hours 1 mins read

The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) has warned Nigerians, particularly job seekers, against fraudsters using fake recruitment advertisements and forged appointment letters to deceive members of the public.

The warning was contained in a public notice issued by the Fund and circulated to its regional and branch managers in a memorandum dated October 5, 2026, signed by the Executive Director, Administration, Samaila Abdu.

The NSITF said it was not currently recruiting for any position, describing recruitment advertisements circulating on social media, particularly Facebook, as fake.

According to the notice: “Some individuals and groups are falsely claiming to represent the NSITF in recruitment exercises. We urge members of the public to disregard such advertisements and not make any payments to anyone in exchange for employment opportunities.”

The Fund stressed that it does not charge applicants fees for employment and does not conduct recruitment through unofficial social media platforms or other unauthorised channels.

NSITF affirmed that genuine employment opportunities would only be announced through its official communication channels.
