Naija Ratels FC have defended their handling of player’s welfare and salary obligations.
The Abuja-based club has kept coaches and players informed, while making payments as funds become available during a financially challenging 2025/26 season.
The club issued the statement signed by the President Abdul Sule in response to online publications about unpaid salaries.
Sule said the reports were clearly aimed at damaging the reputation of the club, and emphasized that a single story told without context was not fair to what the team has built since 2019.
He stated that the 2025-26 NWFL season stretched the club after it had to rebuild its squad almost entirely from the scratch.
They added that all players contracts remain valid, and binding, and management remains committed to honoring every contractual commitment.
Naija Ratels finished bottom of the NWFL Group A with five points.
