NWFL playoff: Edo Queens thrash FC Robo Queens to record first win

Edo Queens bounced back from their opening day defeat to Nasarawa Amazons in the Nigeria Women Football League, NPFL, Super Six playoff by thrashing FC Robo Queens 4-1 in Port Harcourt on Monday.

It was Robo Queens’ second defeat of the competition following last Saturday’s 3-2 loss to former champions Rivers Angels.

2024 champions Edo Queens scored twice in the first half through Chioma Moses.

Moses Aduku’s side maintained control of the game after the break with Precious Oscar getting on the score sheet one minute before the hour mark.

Mary Mamudu scored the Benin City club fourth goal in the 63rd minute.

Robo Queens had something to celebrate with Florence Godwin Freda reducing the deficit four minutes from time.

Matches will continue in the NWFL playoff on Wednesday.
