According to the Command, the victim later returned home in a distressed state and narrated the incident to her parents.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>The police further disclosed that before her death, the woman recorded a video in which she recounted her ordeal and the emotional trauma she experienced following the alleged assault. She was said to have later taken a toxic substance in an apparent suicide attempt and eventually died despite efforts to save her.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Confirming the arrest in a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, said the Commissioner of Police in Delta State, Yemi Oyeniyi, immediately directed a comprehensive investigation into the allegations.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>He said, “Upon receipt of the petition, the Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, PSC, ACIPM, mnips, directed the Area Command Effurun to carry out an immediate and thorough investigation into the allegations.
