The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has announced the winners of its senatorial primary elections in Abia State.

They are Jude Udeachara (Abia North), Bob Ogu (Abia Central), and Chinyere Onuoha (Abia South).

Jude Udeachara, who was the PDP House of Representatives candidate in 2019, polled 39,740 votes to win in Abia North.

Bob Ogu, who was Abia State Commissioner for Works during the administration of former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, picked the Abia Central ticket after gathering 18,901 votes.

In Abia South, Chinyere Onuoha scored 33,611 votes to clinch the 2027 Senate election ticket.

Announcing the results at the PDP state office in Umuahia, the Chairman of the PDP Senatorial Election Committee, Ikenna Onuoha, said the exercise was fair and rancour-free, adding that the Abia primary was through consensus.

In his speech before the announcement of the results, the Chairman of the PDP in Abia, Abraham Amah, said his party was seriously preparing for victory in the 2027 elections in the state.
