The Co-Chairman of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security, ICCES, Ogun State, CP Bode Ojajuni, has given assurance of security agencies' commitment to peaceful 2027 general elections.

Ojajuni gave the assurance on Tuesday, while speaking at an election stakeholders’ forum held at the INEC office in Abeokuta.

The Commissioner of Police emphasised the need for sustained collaboration among security agencies, electoral stakeholders and traditional institutions.

He said ICCES would sustain regular engagements and proactive security measures before, during and after the elections.

“We are going to demonstrate that we are different and will not allow election violence to happen here in Ogun State.

“We are going to ensure that the general election in Ogun State is peaceful," he said.

Ojajuni also urged stakeholders to mobilise residents, including indigenes and visitors, for peaceful participation.

CP Ojajuni stressed that Ogun State would not tolerate electoral violence, calling for collective commitment to a safe and successful electoral process.
