A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dino Melaye, has mocked President Bola Tinubu over his three-week leave, stressing that old age cannot be treated but can only be managed.
Melaye said only President Tinubu could embark on a three-week leave outside Nigeria at such a time.
Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, had disclosed that the President departed Abuja for Europe to begin his three-week vacation as part of his annual leave.
Onanuga said the Nigerian President would make his first stop in London, United Kingdom.
Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria after the leave to join the hectic campaign for the January 2027 election.
However, Melaye, a former Kogi West Senator, posted on X: “Which President will leave his country for 3 weeks? Only Tinubu. Oga, dem no dey treat old age. You can only manage it. Agbalagbi.”
Melaye’s assertion comes as the ADC presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar claimed that Tinubu is 90 years old.
Atiku said that he had evidence to prove in court that Tinubu was 90 years old.
