Omo-Agege told to call alleged godson to order over blackmail allegation

Daily Post 10 minutes 1 mins read

Youths from the Niger Delta have urged former Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, to call his alleged associate and godson, Tega Oghenedoro, to order over allegations of blackmail.

The Niger Delta youths made the demand in a statement on Wednesday by their spokesperson, Akpor Akpororo.

This comes amid allegations that Oghenedoro was involved in blackmail.

Akpororo alleged in the statement that the sponsor of the publication had collaborated with political associates to discredit public office holders.

Expressing concern over the approaching electoral season, the association alleged that political interests could exploit false publications to discredit opponents.

“We hereby call on his godfather, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, former Deputy President of the Nigerian Senate, to call him to order.

“These concerns underscore the need for responsible journalism, verifiable evidence and accountability in public communication,” Akpororo stated.
