Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani, has expressed sadness over the reported crash of a Nigerian Air Force aircraft that allegedly claimed the lives of 25 passengers and seven crew members.

Sani disclosed this in a post on his X handle, describing the incident as a tragic and heartbreaking loss for the country.

“It’s tragic and sad to receive the news of the crash of the Nigerian Air Force aircraft that reportedly led to the loss of 25 passengers and seven crew members.

“This is a great loss for our country. A painful and heartbreaking tragedy. May their gentle souls rest in peace. Ameen,” he said.

Recall that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) had earlier confirmed that an aircraft belonging to the force crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State in the early hours of Monday.

The Federal Government also disclosed that 32 people were on board the military aircraft when it crashed.

The figure was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.
