The statement said the Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, had directed the Command Monitoring Unit to investigate the incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.

The Police urged political aspirants, party leaders and event organisers to notify the Command at least 48 hours before planned processions or public gatherings to enable adequate security arrangements.
