Only few rich Nigerians benefitting under Tinubu, the poor suffering – Amaechi

Daily Post 1 day 1 mins read

Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has said that only a few Nigerians are benefiting from the country’s independence, while the poor continue to suffer.

Amaechi, vice presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), made the statement while speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Friday.

According to him, the situation has worsened under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.

“The real people benefiting from this so-called independence is the rich. The poor continues to suffer, and it’s worse in Tinubu’s government,” Amaechi said.

He, however, expressed doubt that even the rich were benefiting from the administration, arguing that only a small group of people were gaining from the government.

“I doubt that even the rich is benefiting. It just a group of persons that are just benefitting from this government,” he said.
