Osun Decides: ‘Sunday Bisi has been arrested’ – Davido

Daily Post about 1 hour 1 mins read

Afrobeats singer Davido has alleged that the Osun State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sunday Bisi, was arrested by police officers at his residence in Ilesa during Saturday’s governorship election.

Davido made the allegation in a post shared on his official X handle on Saturday, August 15, 2026, claiming that the police arrested Bisi at about 2 p.m.

According to the singer, police officers invaded Bisi’s residence and accused him of moving around on election day.

“Osun PDP Chairman, Sunday Bisi, has been arrested in his Ilesa residence around 2 p.m. by the police,” Davido wrote.

He said the police accused the PDP chairman of moving around despite the ongoing election.

“Police invaded his house, accusing him of moving around on the day of the election,” he added.

Davido also criticised the police over the alleged arrest, claiming that the same agency had failed to act against suspected APC supporters who he alleged were harassing voters.

“The same agency that ignored APC thugs harassing voters. It is well,” he wrote.
