The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has uploaded more than half of the results from the ongoing Osun State governorship election to its Result Viewing (IReV) portal.
As of the time of filing this report, results from 1,963 of the 3,763 polling units in the state had been uploaded, representing 52.17 per cent of the total results expected.
The uploading of the results commenced shortly after voting ended at several polling units across the state.
The development marks the beginning of the electronic transmission and public viewing of polling unit results as the collation process gets underway.
Through the IReV portal, voters, political parties and other stakeholders can access results uploaded from individual polling units, providing an avenue for public monitoring of the electoral process.
