…Congratulates Adeleke on Osun victory, urges youths, women to resist vote buying

Presidential hopeful of the Action Alliance (AA), Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, popularly known as Fadojoe, has said Nigerians will use the 2027 general elections to “rewrite the story of Nigeria” and usher in what he described as “true and real change.”
Fadojoe, leader of the Rescue Movement for New Nigeria, stated this in a message to Nigerians while reacting to the outcome of the 2026 Osun State governorship election and congratulating Governor Ademola Adeleke on his victory.
He said the Osun election demonstrated that Nigerians could resist money politics, intimidation and oppression by making independent choices about their political future.
“We will rewrite the story of Nigeria in 2027. We will shock the world in 2027,” he declared.
According to him, Nigerians should draw inspiration from the resilience, doggedness and resistance demonstrated by the people of Osun State during the election.
He urged Nigerians to reject attempts to influence their votes through financial inducements and material gifts, saying the 2027 elections should be determined by the will of the people rather than money.
“Nigerians will take the playbook, the resilience, the doggedness, the resistance Osun State people demonstrated to say no to money politics, no to rice, no to intimidation, no to oppression.
“But we will decide our destiny, our fate in 2027,” he said.
Fadojoe, who has declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the AA, particularly urged youths and women to take an active role in determining the political direction of the country.
He said the two groups, which he described as among those most affected by poor governance, could no longer afford to remain passive in the political process.
“The youths and women of Nigeria who have been at the receiving end of this bad governance in our nation must and would stand to resist the evil.
“2027 won’t be business as usual. Naira or dollar sharing won’t cut it,” he stated.
The presidential hopeful expressed confidence that Nigerians would make their position known through the ballot box, insisting that the 2027 election would usher in a new political era.
“The people will speak loudly soon. 2027 would be the year of true and real change,” he said.
On his presidential ambition, Fadojoe maintained that he remained the authentic presidential candidate of the AA.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to “do the needful, follow the law and correct its records,” alleging that the commission should recognise the authentic leadership of the party under Barrister Chief Kenneth Udeze, which he said was affirmed by the Court of Appeal.
He urged the electoral commission to ensure that the appropriate candidates were reflected on the ballot for the 2027 presidential election.
Fadojoe concluded with a rallying call to Nigerians: “Nigerians are getting ready to rewrite the story of Nigeria. Yes, we can, and yes, we will.”
