Afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has slammed the lawmaker representing Ikeja Federal Constituency, James Faleke.
In a post on his verified X handle on Sunday, Davido asked the lawmaker to go and get a job, stressing that politics is not a career.
DAILY POST recalls that the singer had called out Faleke over an alleged move to upturn the result of the recently concluded Osun State governorship election.
The lawmaker denied the allegation, saying he was in Osun to support his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
He added that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, is a body that cannot be influenced.
“I have never influenced or rigged before and I don’t plan to start now. Face your music while we face our politics,” the lawmaker had said.
In a response, Davido wrote, “politics is not a career. Get a job.”
