Agents of political parties and security operatives are keeping vigil at the Central Bank, Osun branch, as delayed sensitive materials for the Saturday governorship election arrived at the apex bank.
Recall that the distribution of sensitive materials was delayed over the reprinting of ballot paper to allow the inclusion of the Social Democratic Party SDP which following the order of the High Court.
The vehicle conveying the materials, escorted by security operatives, arrived at the Central Bank complex around 8:45 pm, after which the bank and INEC officials started the inspection.
As of the time of filing this report, the materials are still being offloaded from the trucks while security, party agents and journalists keep vigil.
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Officer, INEC Osun, Musa Olurode, disclosed that the materials will be distributed to the various local governments Thursday night.
He said security operatives and transport for the task are on standby and INEC officials too are ready for the exercise.
*Yes, the materials have arrived at the CBN as you can see; all of it will be distributed to the 30 Local Government Council Areas and the Area office this night,” he added.
