The All Progressives Congress, APC, on Thursday introduced a new dimension to political campaigning in Osun State with the deployment of an automated mobile stage for its mega rally in Osogbo, the state capital.
The innovation, provided by campaign management firm Monan Innovation, became one of the talking points at the rally as a long trailer was transformed into a fully functional campaign stage for the APC’s final major campaign event ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.
The technology-driven stage attracted the attention of party supporters and residents, demonstrating how innovation could transform conventional political campaign events.
Rather than erecting a conventional stage at the rally ground, the automated mobile stage arrived as a trailer and was transformed into a complete platform for speeches and other campaign activities.
The deployment reflects Monan Innovation’s growing focus on using technology to improve the planning, mobility, visibility and efficiency of political campaigns and events.
The Osun rally also provided the firm an opportunity to demonstrate its event-management capacity before a large gathering of APC supporters and senior party leaders who attended the event to drum up support for the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.
The rally attracted Senate President Godswill Akpabio, governors, former governors, national and state party leaders, as well as thousands of supporters.
The automated mobile stage formed part of the visual and technological infrastructure deployed for the event, reinforcing the APC’s attempt to present a modern campaign platform in the final hours of the electioneering period.
Monan Innovation’s Osun assignment builds on its experience in political campaign management, particularly its work during the Ekiti governorship election.
In Ekiti, the firm deployed campaign intelligence, voter research, field mobilisation, logistics and technology-driven communication as part of the campaign structure.
One of its innovations in Ekiti was the deployment of mobile campaign stage trucks fitted with giant LED screens. The mobile units could be moved from one community to another and converted into functional campaign stages, allowing campaign activities to be conducted with greater mobility and flexibility.
The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mrs Moji Yakubu, said the firm’s approach was centred on understanding voters and deploying data and technology to make campaign decisions more effective.
“Our approach is centred on understanding the mindset of the electorate and helping campaign teams make informed, data-driven decisions,” Yakubu said while discussing the firm’s Ekiti operation.
The company is increasingly positioning itself at the intersection of political strategy, technology, campaign logistics, voter engagement and event production, as political parties in Nigeria seek more professional and innovative approaches to electioneering.
The Osun mega rally provided another demonstration of that approach.
By deploying an automated mobile stage that could be transported as a trailer and transformed into a campaign platform, Monan Innovation brought technology to the centre of the APC’s final major campaign event in Osun.
The deployment not only enhanced the visual appeal of the rally but also demonstrated how technology could make political campaign infrastructure more mobile, adaptable and efficient.
For Monan Innovation, the Osun assignment adds another high-profile event to its growing campaign portfolio while reinforcing its ambition to establish itself as a leading Nigerian campaign management firm.
