Over 60% of Ghana’s waterbodies polluted by galamsey – CSIR-WRI Researcher

More than 60 per cent of Ghana rsquo;s waterbodies have been polluted by illegal mining activities, posing serious environmental, health and livelihood risks to communities, a research scientist at the Groundwater Division of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Water Research Institute (CSIR-WRI), Dr Franklin Obiri-Nyarko, has disclosed.
