Oyo ADC guber candidate under fire for sharing corn to supporters [VIDEO]

Daily Post about 4 hours 2 mins read

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Oyo State, Taofeek Adegoke, has come under public scrutiny after a video showing him sharing boiled corn with supporters surfaced online.

The video now making rounds online showed the ADC candidate stopping by a roadside seller to buy and eat freshly boiled corn.

He was wearing a green traditional outfit and a green cap with ADC branding.

In the video, several supporters crowded around Adegoke, stretching out their hands as they attempted to receive the corn personally from him.

Some repeatedly addressed him as “Mr Governor” while others chanted slogans in support of his governorship ambition.

The incident has raised eyebrows as Nigerians on X question the need for the public display, especially with election around the corner.

Reacting to the development, an X user,  @OBIMOVEMENT49JA, said, “Has he been eating corn publicly when it wasn’t election period. He probably has been eating breakfast in turkey and French. He should go and sit down. If they ask him the real issues OYO state is facing will he be able to answer it correctly?

@Ademola added, “High service, we understand so well what’s happening here. But why can’t he buy it on off camera?

@TecHistory said, “Does it mean he’s a corn artist?”

@Supreme chief noted, “You no go see am from that area after the election is concluded.”

@Abumchukwu added, “This format for 2026? And people still fall for it? No one should blame hunger here, well let me believe it’s his party aids around him.”

@André said, “I refuse to believe Nigerians are this retarded. When election is coming, a politician comes with his aides, and his cameraman and starts doing stuff like this.

Same playbook, rinse and repeat. No innovation.”

@Thebiggeststar, “Na Peter Obi style dey reign now oh… Obingos are proud.”

@JiokoBlock, “The fact that these politicians still giving us same script tells me that we really do not give a fuck about them.”

@Ikenna Justin, “Nonsense if he enter he no go do this one again.”
