ABUJA – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has begun engaging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the omission of some of its candidates from the commission’s final list, seeking a resolution in line with electoral laws and guidelines.

The development has raised concerns within the party, with affected candidates facing uncertainty over their status on the final list. The PDP, however, says it is working with INEC to resolve the matter

Its National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, said the party was treating the omissions seriously and would provide updates as the discussions progressed.

“The Party is committed to ensuring that all legitimate concerns are properly addressed with the Commission,” Jungudo said.

The PDP urged affected candidates, members and supporters to remain calm, warning against actions or statements capable of undermining its engagement with INEC.
