For many on social media, Nigerian TikTok stars, Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, and Amadou Aminata, better known as Jarvis, had left widespread notion their relationship was just “content.” They met and started online as friends and collaborators, and every major high and low of their playful relationship was posted supposedly for entertainment.
Their church wedding, which holds today, Peller announced shortly after the celebration last Saturday, would be limited to 100 guests.
Critics frequently pointed out their young age differences and rapid rise to fame, assuming their partnership was purely transactional to boost views and brand deals. Despite widespread doubts that it was all for clout, the pair transitioned their virtual chemistry into reality by completing their traditional marriage rites and wedding ceremonies last Saturday.
The lavish celebration in Lagos on August 1, 2026, followed their court wedding on July 29 after their traditional marriage formalities earlier in Benin City. From real-time live streams on Twitch and YouTube to public announcements of high-value real and “fake” gifts, the star-studded event trended as they celebrated their union in the presence of celebrity guests, friends, and well-wishers.
Weeks before the ceremony, the #JP2026 hashtag deployed across social media channels, generating pre-event momentum. At the occasion, the arrivals of celebrity guests appeared as deliberate viral hooks. Showmen Pretty Mike arriving with a staged medical team and Cubana Chief Priest fulfilling his multi-million-naira pledge turned every hour of the event into separate clips for social feeds.
As photos and videos from the celebration began making the rounds, social media quickly turned its attention to the couple’s striking traditional wedding outfits. One of the biggest moments of the ceremony saw socialite King Ochacho announce that he was gifting the newlyweds brand new house worth N400 million in Abuja. He went on days later in a post to liken the amount to N400,000.
Another moment came courtesy of a masked guest known as Oga9ja. He arrived, stylishly flanked by two female companions and a full entourage, moving through the crowd in an elaborate, regal-style outfit and a mask that gave away little. He presented Peller and Jarvis with a ceremonial cheque for N10 million during the reception. The streets had a field day outside the venue.
Trust their retinue of co-content creators and influencers to live up and fully represent at the wedding, including Priscilla Ojo, Purple Speedy, Nons Miraj, Papaya Ex, Isbae U, Kamo State, Geh Geh, Jo Blaq, Diadem Adeola and Samuel Banks. Kidbaby, Tee Dollar, Alvin of Lagos, Tunde Perry, Smart BM, Momma Dessy, Rufai Bukky Ojo, Jojo of Lele, Cute Abiola, Seun Pizzle and T Dollar.
The marriage ceremony marked another stage in a relationship that had unfolded publicly over several months. In June 2026, Peller proposed to Jarvis during a private beachside ceremony at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana.
