Peller Rejects ₦70m Offer From Habby Forex To Name His Unborn Child: “I Don’t Use My Family To Play”

Popular TikToker Peller has turned down an offer of $50,000, about ₦70 million, from crypto trader Habby Forex, who wanted the right to name his unborn child.

The offer was made during a livestream this week, with Habby Forex asking Peller whether he would allow him to choose the baby’s name in return for the money.

Peller, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, at first appeared not to grasp how much was on the table. He reacted with surprise after the dollar amount was converted to naira.

He said he would have to consult his wife, Jarvis, before taking any decision, and then asked Habby Forex what name he had in mind for the child.

In the end, Peller declined the offer and said his family was not for sale. “Don’t worry. Money is not everything. I don’t use my family to play if it comes to money, money is papper,” he said.

The only condition reported was that Habby Forex would get to pick the name. It is not clear which name he wanted to give the child.

Peller and Jarvis married recently and have since announced that they are expecting their first child. The couple have shared few details about the pregnancy, including the expected delivery date.

The exchange has since drawn mixed reactions online. Some social media users praised Peller for turning down such a huge sum, while others joked that he should have accepted the money.

Peller has been in the news in recent days. Earlier this week he apologised after dressing like Jesus Christ on a livestream.
