‘Peter Obi will dribble Kwankwaso, drop him like hot potato’ – Fani-Kayode on NDC’s single term ticket

Daily Post 1 day 2 mins read

Nigerian ambassador-designates, to South Africa, Femi Fani-Kayode has urged former governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso not to believe the one term agenda of the 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

DAILY POST recalls that the Nigerian Democratic Congress, NDC had during its nation convention, zoned its president ticket to the South for just four years.

The decision, which paved the way for Obi to contest the election for a single tenure was heavily backed by Kwankwaso.

However, in a statement on Sunday, Fani-Kayode wondered if Kwankwaso, Obi’s prospective presidential running mate believe the one term agenda, alleging that Obi is a betrayer.

He claimed that Obi, a former governor of Anambra State has “betrayed every single leader he has had since 1999 and abandoned every single one of the 5 political parties whose platform he has used or attempted to use to run for one office or the other over the last 27 years”.

FFK said though he hitherto respected Kwankwaso and credited him as “being an intelligent man”, his “behaviour baffles me”.

“Peter will dribble him like a yoyo and then drop him like a hot potato like he has with everyone else he has worked and run with.

“If a man like that ever gets power be rest assured that he will NEVER leave it let alone do so after 4 years.

“Thank God NDC has no hope of winning and that Peter will be roundly defeated by PBAT in a few months time.

“His attempt to divide the votes of the South and deny our President and the SW of having 8 straight years in power shall fail”, he said.
