Pipeline security boosting investor confidence in Delta — Tantita

ASABA — Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has attributed the growing confidence of investors in Delta State to improved security around critical oil infrastructure, particularly the reduction in pipeline vandalism and illegal bunkering.

The company said its pipeline surveillance operations had helped create a safer environment for businesses, thereby encouraging fresh investments and economic activities in the state and the wider Niger Delta region.

Speaking at the 2026 Delta State Economic and Investment Summit in Asaba, Media Officer of TSSNL, Pascal Kerebu, said the summit demonstrated the state government’s commitment to positioning Delta as a preferred investment destination.

Kerebu, who spoke at the company’s exhibition stand during the summit, said improved security was already attracting entrepreneurs, businesses and multinational companies to the state.

“Delta State, through this summit, is positioning itself as a destination centre for investments. We are looking forward to seeing more investments in the state, with entrepreneurs, businesses and investors coming in.

“Not only will existing businesses get investments to expand their capacity, investors and multinationals will also come to establish their businesses in Delta State,” he said.

The TSSNL spokesman said the company’s efforts in securing oil pipelines had significantly changed the security situation in the region.

“For us at Tantita Security Services, we have been able to create a safer environment for business operations in Delta State. Before now, the environment was porous due to illegal bunkering and pipeline vandalism,” he said.

He noted that the activities of crude oil thieves and pipeline vandals had negatively affected investor confidence in Delta and the Niger Delta generally, adding that the reduction of such activities had restored optimism among investors.

“Investor confidence was very poor for Delta State and the whole of the Niger Delta because of these activities. But now, with illegal bunkering and pipeline vandalism heavily curtailed, there is renewed investor confidence, which is reflected in events such as this economic summit,” Kerebu stated.

He added that Tantita’s contribution to regional development extends beyond pipeline protection, noting that the company has continued to support initiatives aimed at promoting economic growth.

“We are diamond sponsors of this summit, and we will continue to invest in and partner with initiatives that drive growth and investment in the Niger Delta,” he said.

Kerebu expressed optimism that sustained collaboration between government and the private sector would consolidate security gains, attract more investments and accelerate economic development across Delta State and the region.
