The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC), Wudil, Kano State, has invited applicants for its 13th Regular Course to participate in a screening exercise scheduled to commence on September 9, 2026.
The invitation was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by the academy’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Umar Isah, on behalf of the Commandant, AIG Auwal Muhammad.
According to the statement, candidates are expected to print their examination slips between August 25 and September 8.
The screening exercise, which will comprise a Computer-Based Test (CBT), physical features assessment, medical screening and Selection Board interview, will run from September 9 to 18.
The academy said the CBT would be conducted in batches according to candidates’ states of origin.
Candidates from Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra and Bauchi states are scheduled for the first batch on September 9.
The second batch, scheduled for September 10, comprises candidates from Bauchi (Batch B), Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River and Delta states.
The third batch, on September 11, covers Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, the Federal Capital Territory, Gombe and Imo states.
Candidates from Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano and Katsina states will take the CBT on September 12, while those from Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Lagos and Nasarawa states are scheduled for September 13.
The sixth batch, scheduled for September 14, comprises Niger, Ogun, Ondo and Osun states, while candidates from Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto and Taraba states will take the CBT on September 15.
Candidates from Yobe and Zamfara states are scheduled for the examination on September 16.
The academy said candidates must present the original and photocopies of their Primary School Leaving Certificate, SSCE result, JAMB result slip, birth certificate or declaration of age, LGA indigene certificate, letter of identification, properly completed and signed guarantor’s form, medical certificate of fitness from a government hospital, NIN slip, four passport photographs and application acknowledgement slip.
Candidates were also directed to wear a white T-shirt, white shorts, white socks and white canvas shoes throughout the exercise.
The statement advised candidates to arrive at the academy a day before their scheduled examination dates, adding that they would be accommodated within the academy throughout the screening period.
It warned that parents would not be allowed into the academy during the exercise.
The academy urged candidates to visit the POLAC Admission Portal for further information and warned against fake social media accounts impersonating the Nigeria Police Academy.
