Police arrest alleged scammers found with over D2M

Police in Serekunda have arrested three Nigerians in connection with an alleged scam involving two million dalasis (D2,000,000).

The suspects, identified as Stanley Edward, 35, of Kololi; Fidelis Ibe, 41, of Kololi and David Chiagozie, 47, of Brusubi, were apprehended on Tuesday, 16 June, following credible intelligence received by the police.

During the operation, officers recovered two million two hundred and seventy-two thousand dalasis (D2,272,000) from the suspects.

The trio has been charged with theft, while investigations into the matter continue.
